The Climate Change Media Partnership (CCMP) is offering a fellowship program for journalists. This program is designed to support journalists from developing countries to cover the 2024 UN Climate Change Conference (COP29) which will be held in Baku, Azerbaijan from November 11th to 22nd.
The program will provide the opportunity for 20 journalists to attend the conference in person. This initiative is part of CCMP's ongoing effort to promote diverse perspectives on climate change, a critical global issue. Over 500 journalists have benefited from CCMP's programs throughout the years, allowing them to attend and report on the annual UN climate talks.

Eligibility Criteria for Fellowship by Climate Change Media Partnership (CCMP) in Baku 2024
Have a good command of the English language.
Share an up-to-date resume/CV.
Be able to travel and arrive in Baku, Azerbaijan on November 9 and depart no earlier than November 24, 2024.
Be working in any medium (online, print, television, radio) as a journalist or reporter.
Be affiliated with any type of media organization (international, national, local, or community-based), including freelance reporters and staff.
Provide recent, relevant, and journalistic work samples on climate change topics (freelancers welcome to apply).
Be a professional journalist or represent an established media house from low and middle-income countries, as defined by the World Bank (view the full list of eligible countries).
